Decorations Committee News and Schedule 
The twelve decorating committee co-chairs have been working very hard these past few months planning for the 2001 Senior Party. Now we are ready to begin actual painting, pasting, cutting, sewing and building. We start January 4th and will continue right up to the party date. Thanks in advance to all of the parents that signed up to help prepare the decorations. If you missed the opening meeting and want to come and help out, please feel welcome to do so! We need as many people as we can to come to these sessions. Come as often as you like and bring your spouse, friends, neighbors, other - the more the merrier. It will be fun! Your decorating committee co-chairs will have different projects for you to work on each session. 

We meet in the Senior Cafeteria area from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm on week-nights, and from 9:00 am - 12:00 Noon on Saturdays.

Do not worry if you can't stay for the full time, we appreciate any and all help that you can provide. There are a few items we need to have people bring to these sessions (but don't feel obligated to do so). We need:

  • old newspapers (to cover the area where we are painting)

  • empty coffee cans (to hold water for brushes)
  • scissors
  • paper towels
  • old paint brushes

Here are the dates we will be working:

Week 1 Start -------> January 4 - Thursday January 6 - Saturday
Week 2 January 8 - Monday January 10 - Wednesday January 13 - Saturday
Week 3 January 16 - Tuesday January 18- Thursday January 20 - Saturday
Week 4 January 22 - Monday January 24- Wednesday January 27 - Saturday
Week 5 January 30 - Tuesday February 1 - Thursday February 3 - Saturday
Week 6 February 5 - Monday February 7 - Wednesday February 10 - Saturday
Week 7 February 13 - Tuesday February 15 - Thursday February 17 - Saturday
Week 8 February 20 - Tuesday February 21 - Wednesday SENIOR PARTY 10:00 PM
 

The Decorating Committee is also looking for parents who can help us complete other important projects that are an integral part of our decorating plans. We need some simple costumes and a stage curtain made. If you can sew and are able to help please contact us - Jan Keating 369-6613. We also need different props built. If you enjoy working with your hands on this kind of project please contact Lori Sieders - 416-3637.
