Naperville C. QB chooses Wisconsin

Wisconsin may have found the eventual successor to 
sophomore quarterback Brooks Bollinger when the Badgers 
secured an oral commitment from Naperville Central star 
Owen Daniels. 
The 6-foot-4-inch, 220-pound Daniels is living up to his 
reputation as one of the Midwest's top quarterbacks in 
leading the Redhawks to a 3-0 start. He opened the season 
passing for 223 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 
victory over Lockport. No. 1-ranked Naperville Central 
(3-0) has outscored its opponents 125-0 with Daniels 
completing 31 of 36 passes for 583 yards and seven 
touchdowns, plus a pair of TD runs. 
"I was in Madison over the weekend on my official visit and 
watched them beat Oregon," Daniels said. "I got to walk 
through the tunnel onto the field, and that gave me goose 
bumps. That is just an awesome place to play football. 
"Wisconsin was the best fit for me academically and 
athletically, and it's close enough to home so my family 
can see me play."
