Naperville Central junior Candace Parker was one of three unanimous selections to the Associated Press Class AA girls basketball All-State team.

Fenwick senior Erin Lawless and Peoria Woodruff senior Britney Jordan were also unanimous selections to the team, according to a statewide panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

Effingham senior Balir Hardiek and Belleville Althoff senior Stephanie Lisch rounded out the first team.

Parker, 6-3, is the only junior on the first team and is considered one of the top players in the nation. Last year she became the first girl in Illinois to dunk in a game and led her undefeated team downstate this season by averaging 24.1 points and 14.5 rebounds.

Lawless, a 6-2 forward, led Fenwick to the Elite Eight three of her four years on the team. She averaged 24.3 points per game this season and 11.1 rebounds. She signed with Purdue.

Jordan, who is a finalist for the McDonald's All-American game, is a 5-8 guard who averaged 29 points and 8.8 rebounds. She signed with Temple.

Lisch is a 5-11 guard who averaged 27 points and eight rebounds. She signed with Indiana State.

Hardiek is a 5-foot-7 senior guard who averaged 25 points and 9.6 rebounds who signed with Missouri.

Lawless, Parker and Lisch will all play in the Class AA quarterfinals in Normal.

The second team includes Bolingbrook's Chloe Kerr, Joliet Catholic's Allie Quigley, Trinity's Caprice Smith, Regina Dominican's Christina Quaye and Champaign Centennial's Anne Parrett.

The third team members are Hillcrest's Nadia Bibbs, York's Krystal Hugelier, Marian Catholic's Missy Mitidiero, O'Fallon's Eetisha Riddle and Marshall's Jaquay Holmes.
